耀道(教協)普及閱讀獎勵計劃

ERS「升Le」閱讀獎勵計劃

  • Objectives:
  • Enrich students’ knowledge through reading non-fiction
  • Enlarge vocabulary bank
  • Develop ability and confidence in reading, emphasizing on Quantity (Belief: students should develop a sense of achievement after accomplishing a large number of books)
  • Students feel:
  • Easy to start
  • Rewarded to sustain
  • Satisfied / Self-assured / to strive
  • Implementation:
  • Can be counted in CA (Set basic requirement for CA)
  • Set other requirement for Reward Scheme
  • Specify books for each form, with different levels (different rewards)
  • (Develop worksheets for core books (selected))
  • One booklet for one level (different colour, at least in cover)
  • Booklet should be difficult for higher levels
  • S1 and S2 starts with different entry level to avoid blocking of circulation of books
  • Students must complete 4 levels in a year. (Thus, complete 2 levels of fiction and non-fiction each) [Target: English class students complete 6 levels (or 5)]
  • Lesson support:
  • Should emphasize ERS in lesson through Read Aloud, Share Booklet, Presentation, etc
